Hugo Kimber

Founder & CEO

Hugo founded Carbon Responsible in 2012 and his experience in carbon reporting and management began in 2006. He has delivered award-winning technology solutions for reporting of emissions and developed the world’s most advanced global emissions reporting tool.

His career as both an Executive Chairman and CEO in leisure and technology businesses has seen him successfully develop, transform and build companies to deliver shareholder value through a focused approach to converting vision into action.

Matt Paver

Chief Operating Officer

Matt has over 10 years of professional experience, beginning his career at Accenture helping to deliver large-scale, transformational change. Matt moved into the sustainability sector in 2014 to work at the Clinton Foundation and in that time consulted with Fortune Global 100s, NGOs, Think Tanks and numerous governments on developing and implementing robust Corporate Social Responsibility programmes.

Most recently, Matt ran his own start-up focused on creating novel polymer-based yarns out of macroalgae. He possesses two masters: one in Economic History from the LSE and a second in Climate Change Management from Imperial College. Matt is a classical musician and avid baker.

Alex Didcock

Senior Carbon Accounting Manager

Alex oversees all client projects and is responsible for the management of the carbon accounting and data specialist teams. She focuses on the evolution of emission reporting deliverables in line with regulatory developments, to meet changing client needs and to stay ahead of new ESG trends.

Alex possesses an MSci in Zoology, specialising in anthropogenic climate change impact on biodiversity and ecosystem services. When not working, Alex loves to be outdoors and has a keen interest in wildlife conservation and rewilding, and a passion for travel. 

Arthur Scammell

Data Solutions Manager

Arthur manages the data team at Carbon Responsible, who specialises in working with large and complex datasets to generate insights, analytics, and bespoke product analyses. His primary focus is overseeing the design, development, and maintenance of our tech products that help our clients to stay ahead of the curve with robust carbon emissions reporting and setting achievable emissions reduction pathways.

Arthur holds an MSci in Physics, and outside of work enjoys playing music, arts & design, & urban horticulture. 

Ciara Davies

Carbon Accounting Lead

Ciara leads client projects to enable measurement, reporting and management of carbon impact. She specializes particularly in Scope 3 accounting. Ciara possesses an MSc in Aquatic Conservation, Ecology & Restoration, with a focus on public engagement with conservation, and science communication.  
 
Ciara has worked on European citizen science projects and on a variety of factual TV productions. Outside of work, Ciara likes getting out on the water with her SUP and dabbling in art, gardening, and film photography. 

Emma Baldassari

Carbon Accounting Specialist

Emma assists clients in the collection of their operational activity data and analyses that data to produce emissions reports. She also helps clients define and achieve their emissions reduction targets. Additionally, Emma is keenly interested in helping clients identify climate-related physical risks that their business might be facing in the short and long term, following TCFD’s framework.

Emma possesses an MSc in Mathematical Modelling (Climate Science), with a focus on computational fluid dynamics of the atmosphere and the oceans. In her spare time, Emma can be found enjoying the outdoors, participating in sports and exploring new travel destinations.

James Clarke

Carbon Accounting Specialist

James supports our clients in the achievement of their objectives in carbon measurement, management, and reduction. He assists in developing client measurements, enhancing data capabilities, reduction target setting, and conducting full life cycle analyses. Day-to-day, he takes an active role in data capture, data validation, and large-scale data analysis to generate bespoke emissions reports for clients.

James holds a BA in Politics and International Relations, as well as a MA International Security and Terrorism.

Sam Boscawen

Carbon Accounting Specialist

Sam helps clients calculate and monitor their emissions with the aim of setting reduction targets that ultimately drive increased business operational performance. He is focused primarily on climate-related financial disclosure and risk assessments for large organisations.

Sam possesses an MSc in Sustainability and Management and outside the office enjoys the outdoors, whether this is playing tennis, hiking, or learning how to fish.

Octavia Rooks

Carbon Data Lead

Octavia provides custom technical and data-focused support for our clients and the Carbon Responsible team. She is involved in solving complex, or unique emissions reporting challenges for large-scale clients. Her work also supports client emissions reduction target setting (including SBTi targets), assessing their reduction strategy, and leading the development of a target-setting model. Additionally, her role also includes developing and enhancing our internal processes through the automation of data processing.

Octavia holds an MSc in Natural Sciences (Earth Sciences), and enjoys playing piano, synths and tennis in her spare time.

Jack Thistlethwayte

Climate Risk Analyst

Jack has an MA in Business Management from the University of Edinburgh. He is passionate about sports and sustainable agriculture. His role involves managing relationships with established partners and clients, while conducting ongoing industry analysis in the carbon emissions sector to understand the associated risks and aid informed decision making.

Joey Burnett-Stuart

Carbon Data Specialist

Joey provides data-focused insights and support that supports and maintains the quality of Carbon Responsible and our clients’ reporting. He drives the design and development of behind-the-scenes tools to improve our internal reporting processes; and anticipates market developments to help keep our products up to date in the ever-progressing landscape of emissions disclosure.

Joey holds a BSc in Natural Sciences (Physics) and in his spare time enjoys poetry, climbing, and D&D.

Michaela Da Silva

Client Process Lead

Michaela is the engine behind all of Carbon Responsible’s client engagements. She supports the wider team through process creation and implementation that drives our team’s delivery forward. She is keenly focused on process optimization and ensuring consistent delivery of client work across all of our projects.

Michaela holds a BSc in BSc Business Administration. Outside of work she’s an avid sports fan and enjoys leading her softball team to victory.
